Spring is the season of renewal and we’re embracing it with a celebration, a reopening, a redevelopment and milestones in achieving improved infrastructure. From a prestigious award for Kimpton Seafire to preparations for opening the new underpass to creating new pedestrian connectivity and canal lots to a reinvigorated beachfront restaurant, we are embracing change and possibilities.
SEAFIRE RECEIVES CHRIS DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR AWARD
Kimpton Seafire raised the stakes in luxury travel when it opened last November, and we’re honoured that Dart Real Estate has been awarded the Development of the Year Award at the Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit. CHRIS is one of the most coveted awards in the Caribbean hotel and tourism investment community as it recognises the premier hospitality development built, redeveloped or repositioned within the past year. ONE STEP CLOSER TO A NEW ROAD
In conjunction with the National Roads Authority, we will soon commence traffic management to route drivers around the new Camana Bay roundabout – which is now home to a group of bold and beautiful trees – and through Cayman’s first vehicular underpass. Traffic is currently using the two future southbound lanes of the four-lane, dual carriageway from the future Airport Connector Road roundabout to Camana Bay. This will continue but drivers will be rerouted to the new Camana Bay roundabout and directed into the corresponding underpass lanes.
TWO OLD HYATT BUILDINGS COMING DOWN
As we continue to improve pedestrian connectivity between Britannia and Camana Bay, we are proceeding with the demolition of two of the existing buildings closest to the golf course. This makes way for a pedestrian path that will connect the heart of Britannia with Camana Bay. Levelling and construction activity will begin in the coming weeks.
UNLOCKING CANALFRONT LOTS AT THE CAYMAN ISLANDS YACHT CLUB
We have exciting news for potential homeowners in one of Cayman’s most prestigious and longstanding waterfront communities. Owing to the positive response to canalfront lots in North Creek in the Cayman Islands Yacht Club, we’re extending the canal, making all of the generous-sized lots water-facing as well.
