Dart Real Estate is delighted to share the below updates to keep you informed as Decco and its contractors bring our designs to life.
Britannia Golf Club Closure
In May we purchased the Britannia Golf Club along with the former Hyatt and Grand Cayman Beach Suites. After analysing the business, we’ve determined it’s not feasible to continue its operation, and it will close 1 September 2016. Our top priority is identifying employment opportunities for the staff at other Dart companies, and we’re continuing to master-plan the property’s integration into Camana Bay.
Esterley Tibbetts South
Clearing work started on Crown land on the southern portion of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway this week, the latest milestone in expanding the highway to four lanes from West Bay to George Town. Government is funding this portion of the road, which DECCO and Dart Real Estate are constructing on the Government’s behalf in cooperation with the National Roads Authority.
New Watersports Facility for Seafire
This week, Dart Real Estate submitted a planning application for a bespoke watersports facility at the western end of Raleigh Quay to be completed in 2017. In the short term, when Kimpton Seafire opens this November, guests will stage their watersports adventures from a temporary yet charming location at this cottage.
Expansion and Improvements at Cayman International School
While students enjoy their summer holiday, crews are hard at work on expansion and improvement projects at CIS to support the school’s demand for growth in enrollment and subjects taught. Facilities include new classroom space and storage for the Arts and Recreation Centre.
