February has been marked by many noticeable changes around Camana Bay as Dart Real Estate progresses with creating necessary infrastructure and new places where our tenants and customers will flourish. Since Kimpton Seafire opened just over three months ago, the resort has earned worldwide publicity, gracing magazine covers and being named on lists of the hottest new hotels in the world. Each month will bring exciting news and changes, and we look for to sharing them all with you!
ESTERLEY TIBBETTS HIGHWAY, CAMANA BAY ROUNDABOUT AND NEW UNDERPASS
The new carriageway of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway between the existing Camana Bay roundabout and the future Airport Connector Road roundabout recently opened and traffic was shifted onto the new road. This traffic management is a big step to realising the vision of the expanded highway to four lanes from West Bay to George Town. Soon, the National Roads Authority will open the new three-lane Camana Bay roundabout, and the Esterley Tibbetts Highway will shift through the Camana Bay vehicular underpass which is being painted in the colourful palette of Camana Bay. We also recently received approval to begin work on a second vehicular underpass, located on West Bay Road. These road improvements align with our vision for sea to sound connectivity with infrastructure that prioritises the experiences of the people using the space whether they are driving, biking or walking.
