MARIS AVENUE BRIDGE BEAMS INSTALLED

We reached a major milestone for the Maris Avenue Bridge in Camana Bay when Decco installed six 44,000-pound concrete beams that span Maris Avenue to the Festival Green. While similar in design, the beams used in the Maris Avenue Bridge are slightly longer than those used in the Esterley Tibbetts Highway underpass. The bridge will allow both vehicular and pedestrian passage to the Festival Green and the central island in Camana Bay, while boats up to 18 feet high can pass underneath.

ONE NEXUS WAY SOON TO “TOP OUT”

In the next few weeks, One Nexus Way will reach its peak height, topping out at four stories high. Around 75 workers employed by local contractors are on-site every day on the newest mixed-use building in Camana Bay, which is on schedule for its 2017 opening. Landscape architects Land Collective are finalising plans for the expansive 20,000 sq./ft. courtyard which will be Camana Bay’s largest and shared with its sister building, 18 Forum Lane. One Nexus Way is on track to be certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold like 18 Forum Lane.

CAYMAN 27: LIVE FROM CAMANA BAY

We are thrilled to welcome the Cayman 27 team to the Camana Bay community as they join their Hurley’s Entertainment colleagues including those at Z99 and Rooster 101 in 18 Forum Lane. Having the busy TV newsroom and lively radio stations brings incredible vibrancy to our newest commercial building, and we wish Cayman 27 great success with their initial broadcasts live from Camana Bay.
