President’s Update: December 11, 2017

December 8, 2017Newsletters

December is a month of celebration and festivities at Dart Real Estate. 18 Forum Lane at Camana Bay is a beacon of design excellence and made us all proud as the 2017 winner of the Governor’s Award in commercial/hospitality. Christmas cheer meets convenience at Camana Bay with the launch of a new events app and complimentary valet parking. We’re opening the road to the future just in time for the New Year. It’s been an inspiring year of ‘new’ for us and we’re grateful to have contributed to Cayman’s growth with you by our side.

18 Forum Lane at Camana Bay is the proud winner of the 2017 Governor’s Award for Design and Construction Excellence in the commercial/hospitality category. It was an especially rewarding moment for the Decco/Dart Development team as both Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and 18 Forum Lane went head to head as the finalists in the running for this award. The reception, which was held last night at Her Excellency The Governor’s private residence on Seven Mile Beach, was well attended by leaders in the development and construction industry who demonstrated exceptional work in residential and commercial developments. Congratulations to all nominees and finalists.

18 Forum Lane At Night

Despite especially rainy conditions in the last few months, we’re delighted to confirm the new Esterley Tibbetts Highway and Camana Bay South Roundabout will open for the New Year. The two northbound lanes that travel between the Camana Bay South and Camana Bay Town Centre roundabouts were paved this week and striping of the lanes is in progress. Parents and staff travelling to Cayman International School will be able to traverse the newly extended Minerva Drive for the start of the January 2018 school term. The opening of the new carriageway and full roundabout means that all West Bay-bound traffic will travel on both northbound lanes, while drivers travelling to George Town and the eastern districts will utilise both southbound lanes. Traffic between the Camana Bay South Roundabout and the Butterfield Roundabout will continue to share the future southbound lanes while construction continues on that portion of the highway extension.

Innovation at Camana Bay isn’t limited to the built spaces. There’s no better time than the holidays to explore all of the Camana Bay events – from December onwards – in one easy-to-use App. You’ll find more than 70 ritual and special events are planned at Camana Bay throughout the month of December; click here to watch some of these magical moments.
