We’re starting the New Year with a view to the future – what’s in store for Dart Real Estate in 2018? This year, we’re looking to break ground on another commercial building – the biggest yet and the future home of our Dart team! We’re wrapping up major infrastructure projects that will form the framework for future economic development for Grand Cayman. And we’re planting more trees and paving more walking paths.

But first we’re starting with a few essentials: the official opening of One Nexus Way, the installation of Camana Bay’s arches on the Rise, an update on roadwork projects and an introduction to our property management team.

Spectacular views. Lots of natural light. Adaptable commercial space. Designed with sustainability in mind. This is One Nexus Way, the newest commercial building at Camana Bay. The building is on track to be certified LEED© Gold and offers 82,000 square feet with full-floor office availability as well as retail and restaurant space on the ground floor. Construction is officially finished and we’ll be announcing One Nexus Way’s tenants in the coming weeks. To learn more about One Nexus Way, watch our latest Cayman Shorts video.

You may have noticed a new addition to the Camana Bay Town Centre over the holidays. Three Camana Bay-branded arches were installed at entrance/exit points on the Rise from Camana Bay and West Bay Road. The arches heighten the overall experience for residents and visitors as they travel from Seven Mile Beach to Camana Bay, and back, providing a true sea-to-sound experience. Since it opened last summer, the Rise has become a popular path for strolling, running and sunset watching. Many of the trees and shrubs along the path are growing beautifully and have become home to several species of birds as well as curly-tailed lizards and butterflies.

The Maris Avenue Bridge is nearing completion. Asphalt has been laid, lighting installed and stonework underand around the bridge is taking place now. Once complete, the bridge will provide access to the festival green for all to use. In the Camana Bay Town Centre, paving of the two surface lots on either side of the Rise has begun and one of the two lots are expected to be completed by the end of this month. Dart Development began utility work on the adjacent Emeritus Drive and work will continue for the next several months. Due to these works, temporary road closures are expected off the Camana Bay Town Centre Roundabout and will alternate between Forum Lane and Nexus Way.
