Caribbean Journal’s annual Caribbean Travel Awards celebrate the best of the Caribbean in 2016 and Seafire takes home the coveted title of Caribbean Hotel of the Year. The Caribbean has a new world-class hotel, and it’s called Kimpton Seafire.
The Caribbean’s most anticipated new resort is officially open: the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa in Grand Cayman, Kimpton’s first international hotel. It’s a 266-room resort on the heart of Seven Mile Beach and a strikingly modern approach to Caribbean hotel design, one that works so well in part because it’s in one of the Caribbean’s most modern, forward-thinking destinations.
As its November opening date draws near, Grand Cayman is buzzing about Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, the island’s first new major resort in 11 years. And it appears that the northernmost hotel on famed Seven Mile Beach will be ready for its much-anticipated debut.
On Saturday April 16, local foodies will converge on Camana Bay for the fifth annual Slow Food Day, which will celebrate local farmers and sustainable, farm-to-table cuisine with a series of culinary events.
